Bricklayer is Turtle Head’s premium gluten-free lager, continental in style and brewed to deliver a crisp, satisfying pint most people assume isn’t possible without gluten. It pours a clear golden straw with a clean white head, and the aroma opens with delicate floral notes and a hint of fresh citrus.
On the palate, a light biscuity malt base gives warmth and body before the hops take over. Motueka, a New Zealand variety, brings bright lemon and white grape character, while Hallertau Blanc adds the elegant, grassy finish you’d expect from a quality European lager. It’s understated in the best way.
Both hops were chosen deliberately: Motueka for its lift, Hallertau Blanc for its refinement. The result is a gluten-free lager with more going on than the label suggests.
Suitable for coeliacs and vegans alike. Because this is Turtle Head, every can you buy puts money into The Orange Foundation, a charity close to the brewery’s heart that supports people living with cancer.
Serve cold. Goes well with pizza, grilled fish, or nothing at all.
